Invariant Corporation Awarded $35.5 Million Dollar Ground Launched APKWS Modular System OtA

(Huntsville, Ala.) Invariant Corporation was recently awarded a $35.5 million dollar Ground Launched Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) Modular System OTA by the Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST) in support of the U.S. Navy. Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pose an increasing and asymmetrical threat on the modern battlefield. Invariant’s Surface to Air Kinetic Engagement (STAKE) Counter UAS (C-UAS) solution intends to create a low-cost, transportable product that is easily accessible for deployment. Through the NEST OTA, Invariant will design and develop the STAKE solution that will allow Soldiers to locate and defeat UAS threats.

Invariant also recently expanded its corporate headquarters to include a new facility with state-of-the-art electronics and optics labs. Invariant President, David Anderson, stated, “The addition of our new space allows our team to expand our capabilities and support more missions that are critical to the Department of Defense (DoD). We’re looking forward to our partnership with NEST to develop and equip our Nation with the most technologically advanced solutions.”
