Containerized Weapon System (CWS), used in conjunction with other products like Firefly, can detect the direction of enemy fire and then return fire as needed. The CWS can be operated from up to 1,000 meters away, allowing soldiers to seek a safer place to fire back on an enemy if necessary.
The system has an electric mast that can go from hidden to a height of 15 feet in just 30 seconds. The mast is equipped with the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station, or CROWS. This allows the system to be equipped with a multitude of different weaponry including an M2, MK19, M240, M249, M134 and even a Javelin missile (which can provide 360 degrees of protection).
The beauty of the system is that it is designed within the dimensions of a standardized shipping container, which aids with storage and is easily moveable.
