Electrical Engineer

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to work in a hands-on laboratory environment on a variety of technical projects.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• A variety of electronic design, build, and testing tasks under the guidance of senior engineers in dynamic environment

• Operating state-of-the-art optical microscopes for data collection and analyses

• Working with customers and other engineers to develop designs for prototypes

• Performing other duties as assigned or required

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 4 years’ experience or equivalent professional experience required.

• Basic Electrical Engineering knowledge

• Ability to work bench with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE FAMILIARITY WITH SOME OR ALL THE FOLLOWING:

• Some experience with C/C++ and/or Python

• Experience is a definite plus with:

  • Matlab

  • VHDL or Verilog

  • FPGAs

• Additional years of experience is a definite plus

REQUIRES ABILITY TO:

• Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance with PR within 5 years

• Work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client

• Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking

• Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office, Lab, and field environment.
