Electrical Engineer

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to work in a hands-on laboratory environment on a variety of technical projects related to microelectronics system design and analysis.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• A variety of electronic design, build, and testing tasks under the guidance of senior engineers in dynamic environment

• Setup and operation of auto/semi-automated data collection systems for device-under-test fixtures

• Modifying data analysis scripts in Matlab ‘m-code’

• Performing other duties as assigned or required

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent professional experience required.

• Basic Electrical Engineering knowledge

• Understanding of microelectronic components and systems and integrated circuit fundamentals

• Proficiency in the use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and other common laboratory electrical characterization and test equipment

• Experience with FPGA development tools using VHDL (preferred) or Verilog

• Experience with Matlab, for the purpose of data collection, analysis, and visualization

• Experience working with real hardware and systems in a laboratory environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE FAMILIARITY WITH SOME OR ALL THE FOLLOWING:

• Some experience with C/C++ and/or Python

• Good communication skills, including presentation development and report writing

• Experience with printed circuit board design tools such as Altium (or similar) is a definite plus

• Additional years of experience is a definite plus

REQUIRES ABILITY TO:

• Currently have a Secret or Top-Secret Clearance with PR within last 5 years

• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance if currently at Secret

• Work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client

• Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking

• Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential
