Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated SDR Engineer with 2-10 years of experience to work in a hands-on laboratory environment on a variety of technical projects.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Set up and operate laboratory-based Software-Defined Radio (SDR) hardware/software
Perform signal detection, identification, and decoding of captured waveforms
Perform RF signal reception and transmission of data using various modulations schemes (FSK, PSK, QAM, etc.)Work with customers and other engineers to develop designs for prototypes.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.

WHAT SKILLS, LEARNINGS, AND EXPERIENCES ARE REQUIRED:
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in SDR development and/or SDR test.
Minimum Traits and Competencies for this position
Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance or Secret Clearance with PR within 5 years
Some travel may be required depending on project requirements
Work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client
Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking
Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION:
Strong proficiency with C/C++
Experience with Matlab is a definite plus
Experience using GNURadio or Matlab-based SDR is a plus
A Master’s Degree or concentration in wireless communications is a plus
Spread spectrum techniques and concepts
Additional years of experience is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office, Lab, and field environment
